Round five Auck­land pre­mier rugby ac­tion kicks off to­mor­row, with some fierce ri­val­ries ready to fire. In the blue pool, the battle of the east gets un­der way at Bell Park as Paku­ranga host de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons Uni­ver­sity. Paku­ranga pinched the Sir Fred Allen Chal­lenge Cup off Waitem­ata 22-7 in round four, while Uni­ver­sity ran riot over Maun­garua, scor­ing 13 tries in their 89-5 victory. Maun­garua will find life a bit eas­ier against Waitakere City at Fer­gus­son Park, where both sides will be hunt­ing for their first win of the sea­son. Sub­urbs host arch-ri­vals Waitem­ata at Shad­bolt Park, and Otahuhu head to Pa­p­a­toe­toe. Over in the white pool, Pon­sonby and Gram­mar TEC, both fresh from wins, face off at Orakei Domain. East Ta­maki host Eden, while Marist are at home against Manukau, and Col­lege Ri­fles have the bye.
