Rather, one of our boards was promised in a 2011 re­port that a study of costs per play was ‘‘near­ing com­ple­tion’’ and this in­for­ma­tion ‘‘will help in­form pending pol­icy work on sports field user charges, and whether th­ese will be re­moved to­tally, or stan­dard­ised across the re­gion’’.

There was not even men­tion of a promised re­view in the re­ports to the other boards.

Had we been in­formed at the time that the clubs in our area were be­ing un­fairly charged rel­a­tive to oth­ers, our re­sponse would have been ex­actly as it is now . . .
