Call for Di­wali acts and stall­hold­ers

Ap­pli­ca­tions for per­form­ers want­ing to take part in the Auck­land Di­wali Fes­ti­val close on Au­gust 14.

The Oc­to­ber 17 and 18 event cel­e­brates tra­di­tional and con­tem­po­rary In­dian cul­ture and is the largest veg­e­tar­ian ex­trav­a­ganza in the coun­try.

It is or­gan­ised by Auck­land Tourism, Events and Eco­nomic Devel­op­ment and Asia NZ Foun­da­tion and will take place in Aotea Square and Queen St.

Stall sites are avail­able for veg­e­tar­ian food, sweets, craft, and henna ven­dors, or to pro­mote com­mu­nity or­gan­i­sa­tions and busi­nesses.

The dead­line for stalls June 29.
