Po­lice are seek­ing four ‘‘good sa­mar­i­tans’’ who came to the aid of an Auck­land liquor store shop­keeper fol­low­ing an as­sault on May 19. The in­ci­dent hap­pened in the store at the in­ter­sec­tion of Fort and Com­merce streets. Four ‘‘good sa­mar­i­tans’’ came to the aid of the shop­keeper who was taken to Auck­land Hospi­tal with head in­juries. The of­fender al­legedly pulled a knife on the men, who then dis­armed him and kept the in­jured shop­keeper safe.

The four men left the scene be­fore po­lice ar­rived. A 25-yearold man is in cus­tody and has been charged with as­sault. Phone 571 2800 if you have any in­for­ma­tion.
