Police are seeking four ‘‘good samaritans’’ who came to the aid of an Auckland liquor store shopkeeper following an assault on May 19. The incident happened in the store at the intersection of Fort and Commerce streets. Four ‘‘good samaritans’’ came to the aid of the shopkeeper who was taken to Auckland Hospital with head injuries. The offender allegedly pulled a knife on the men, who then disarmed him and kept the injured shopkeeper safe.
The four men left the scene before police arrived. A 25-yearold man is in custody and has been charged with assault. Phone 571 2800 if you have any information.
