Take four women go­ing through menopause, put them in a depart­ment store fight­ing over the same black bra and what you get is a hi­lar­i­ous mesh of di­a­logue and songs about hot flashes, mood swings, and mem­ory loss.

Menopause The Mu­si­cal is an out­stand­ing the­atre show and it is in New Zealand af­ter a suc­cess­ful run at the­atres across the globe.

If 90 min­utes of non-stop laugh­ter is on your agenda this month, then you’re in luck be­cause we have two tick­ets to give away.

Renowned the­atre ac­tor Deb­bie Pen­ney says it is a pro­duc­tion that will have you laugh­ing and won­der­ing at the same time.

She plays a fad­ing soap opera star - one of the anx­ious women fight­ing over the of­fend­ing piece of lin­gerie.

‘‘Women laugh about it and men love it. There are so many sit­u­a­tions peo­ple can re­late to. We of­ten have guys in the au­di­ence el­bow­ing their part­ners and say­ing ‘That’s so you’. It’s a play for ev­ery­one re­ally,’’ she says.
