An at­tack on aman in Auck­land’s CBD could have ended in death, po­lice say. The at­tack hap­pened on El­liot Street in the city on Septem­ber 4 around 3.30am. The 18-year-old man was punched in the face and dropped to the ground where he lost con­scious­ness. He suf­fered from a frac­tured skull and con­cus­sion. The at­tacker was de­scribed as 1.8m tall, medium to ath­letic build, aged in his early 20s, and wear­ing a long sleeved red checked shirt.
