WIN­TER IS THE per­fect time to have a huge pot of soup on the stove sim­mer­ing, so the warm­ing smells en­velop me. Some­thing else I love about win­ter is rug­ging up and cook­ing on the bar­be­cue, and you’ll find the beef ribs here so more-ish. Hav­ing your family around as you cook the pump­kin risotto or roll pas­try for the lamb and quince pie will en­sure it’s a spe­cial day.
