The world’s ob­ses­sion with av­o­cado has gone even fur­ther, with the cre­ation of tech­nol­ogy that pre­vents the fruit go­ing brown. Made by Aus­tralian com­pany Naturo, and hailed as “nat­u­ral tech­nol­ogy” that could change the face of the av­o­cado in­dus­try, it will en­able av­o­cado slices to last up to 10 days in the fridge with­out brown­ing. Av­o­cado prod­ucts pro­cessed by the tech­nol­ogy are ex­pected to be avail­able in Aus­tralia later this year, but un­til it hits our shores we will just have to make do with food wrap and lemon juice to keep our avos green.
