MAKES 24 PREP AND COOK TIME 1 HOUR 15 MINUTES
2 egg whites 2¼ cups (360g) pure icing sugar, sifted electric orange, electric green and black gel food colourings plain round sweet biscuits
1 Beat egg whites in a small bowl with an electric mixer until just frothy. Gradually add icing sugar, beating until combined between additions and soft peaks form. Divide icing into three equal portions. Tint one portion with electric orange food colouring, one with electric green food colouring and one with black food colouring. Spoon the icings into three small piping bags. 2 Pipe a line around the outside of half of the biscuits with orange icing, then fill in the inside to cover. Smooth with a small spatula or the back of a spoon. Repeat with remaining biscuits and the green icing. 3 Pipe circles of black icing over coloured icings. Using toothpicks, draw lines from centre of biscuit to outside to create a spiderweb. Repeat with remaining biscuits and icings in batches. Stand biscuits on a wire rack until icing is set. Suitable to freeze.
