Fat-laden cheese is often the first to go in the bid for a healthier, slimmer body, but it seems switching to low-fat alternatives won’t help. Research published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition showed no difference between fatty or “healthy” cheese in terms of cholesterol, blood sugar, blood pressure and insulin readings. And opting for low-fat cheese had no impact on waistlines.
