Fat-laden cheese is often the first to go in the bid for a health­ier, slim­mer body, but it seems switch­ing to low-fat al­ter­na­tives won’t help. Re­search pub­lished in The Amer­i­can Jour­nal of Clin­i­cal Nu­tri­tion showed no dif­fer­ence be­tween fatty or “healthy” cheese in terms of choles­terol, blood sugar, blood pres­sure and in­sulin read­ings. And opt­ing for low-fat cheese had no im­pact on waist­lines.
