Too much of a good thing?

Australian Women’s Weekly NZ - - MEDICAL Q & A -

My kids love melon, but watermelon is their favourite because it is so sweet. Can you eat too much watermelon? I see quite small kids eating it, but wondered if I should wean my lot to grapes? C.E.

In terms of quantity, signs they may be eating too much watermelon might include bloating and diarrhoea. It is important for children to be encouraged to eat fruit and the greater the variety of different fruits the better. Vegetables are also an important habit to establish when they are young. Offer lots of different types and hopefully they will broaden their tastes.
