How to lose weight is a topic for seemingly endless research. A recent study indicates vegetarians lose weight twice as fast as meat-eaters – perhaps because they are more likely to embrace a healthier lifestyle. The study, involving 1000 people, showed that in the first month of dieting, meat-eaters lost an average of 0.9kg, while vegetarians lost about 1.8kg. The vegetarians in the study were twice as likely to be gym members and exercised twice as much as those who consumed meat.
