We are going on a smallship cruise this summer around the Bay of Islands. We will be going to the beach, on wine tours and out for evening meals. What are the key clothing items I should pack so I’ll be prepared for every activity? Make sure all your pieces work together so you can easily mix and match. Start with a base piece that gives you the foundation on which to build the rest of your travel wardrobe, including your colour palette. This will enable you to pack lighter and more effectively.

My summer essentials for a holiday include the following key items:

Large floppy hat Swimsuit Tunic or cover-up Light scarf Tank top Blouse T-shirt Light cardigan Denim jacket Summer dress Skirt Pair of jeans Capri or cropped pants Layering your key clothing items is important too, as weather can vary from day to evening and it’s always good to be prepared. Enjoy your summer!
