Letter of the month

Impressive, humbling and heart-warming

Australian Women’s Weekly NZ - - YOUR LETTERS - VAL NEIL

After reading the first feature of your January issue, I was impressed enough to write to Open Line. As I continued through the magazine the articles were all excellent. I couldn’t put it down and soaked up the details of Helen Mirren’s gutsy life, was impressed by Melania Trump’s steely determination, intrigued with the effect the making of The Crown had on its crew and actors, felt humbled by the stories of “Inside the Wire”, now admire Princess Anne’s strength more than ever (nasty comments are lost on her and when she smiles or laughs she is beautiful), was warmed by the tireless work of Kaikoura’s champions, loved the children’s crusader (we need more), cried with Marian Keyes, took serious notes from Jo Seager, and laughed till I cried with Pat McDermott. Thank you ladies. I usually pass my copy of The Australian Women’s Weekly on, however this one is a keeper!
