Most of us need a min­i­mum of six hours and we func­tion much bet­ter when we hit eight hours on a reg­u­lar ba­sis. Those who sleep less are at greater risk of obe­sity, type 2 di­a­betes, car­dio­vas­cu­lar dis­ease and high blood pres­sure.
