A new study has found that diet fizzy drinks such as Diet Coke and Sprite Zero do not help people lose weight, because they increase a person’s hunger and this often leads to overeating. Researchers found that although the study’s volunteers were avoiding the sugar packed into normal fizzy drinks, they made up the difference in calories during mealtimes, thereby staying the same size.
