Maggi, one of the world’s largest in­stant noo­dle man­u­fac­tur­ers, has re­vamped their recipes in a bid to make their 2 Minute Noo­dles and recipe base sa­chets health­ier. Things like mal­todex­trins, modified starches and emul­si­fiers have been re­placed with ba­sic herbs and spices, sodium lev­els have been re­duced by up to 55 per cent and a gluten-free range has been in­tro­duced. While nu­tri­tion­ists say in­stant noo­dles are still not a healthy food, fewer chem­i­cals and preser­va­tives is a pos­i­tive change.
