Too much avo

While av­o­cado has been hailed a su­per­fruit, loved by many through­out New Zealand, we are eat­ing far too much of it. A rec­om­mended serve of av­o­cado is 50g, or about quar­ter of a medium-sized fruit. But most people eat at least half an av­o­cado in one serv­ing, al­most dou­ble the rec­om­mended por­tion. A whole av­o­cado has around 320 calo­ries in it and that’s be­fore you add the mil­len­nial favourite, toast and poached egg.
