True grit

Australian Women’s Weekly NZ - - YOUR LETTER -

What an inspiration Lisa King is – not only to her own children, but to all of us wondering what can be done to help those in need in our country. Lisa has engineered and brought about the brilliant Eat My Lunch, which has developed into a successful business. She is such a wonderful example to her two children. I am in awe of someone who has actually put into action, very successfully, what most of us only dream about doing. I can only imagine what it has cost her – not only financially, but physically and emotionally – to start such a project and see it through, thanks to her determination, her empathy for needy and hungry children, and her grit. Because that is what this type of project takes... pure grit. Lisa King will leave a legacy for her children that will make a huge difference in their lives. There is something special about this go-getter that makes me want to get up off the couch and do my bit to help make a difference. Thank you, Australian Women’s Weekly, for yet another inspiring look into the life of one of our beautiful women. ISABEL ASHMORE
