A bal­anced diet can re­duce your risk of pre­ma­ture death, re­searchers at Har­vard have dis­cov­ered. A study looking at the di­ets of about 75,000 peo­ple over a 12-year pe­riod found those who ate less red meat, pro­cessed meats and sug­ary bev­er­ages, and more whole­grains, fruits, veg­gies and fish were able to lower their risk in as lit­tle as eight years.
