Family favourites

When a new magazine is delivered, I always turn to Jo Seagar’s. page. This is a lady who comes across as an old friend, with her down-to-earth style and shared recipes that are triedand-tested family favourites. Looking through my recipe book, which was started in 1961, I find likewise – treasured family recipes scribbled on scrappy bits of paper. These include Mum’s Christmas Cake, Auntie Joe’s Pikelets and Nana’s Overnight Steamed Pudding, each bringing a face to mind when I see them.
