Appreciating animal angels who help us
One can never show enough appreciation for the community support which keeps us going, so I would like to give a heartfelt thanks to all the wonderful people in our community that continue to support the SPCA in general, but more so the Tauranga Centre.
We feel very privileged with the amount of support and understanding we receive which helps us continue with the important workwe do in caring, rehabilitating and re-homing the massive numbers of animals that come our way. Nine times out of 10 the animals are in a somewhat shabby state and in dire need of the love and attention that— between our centre staff, volunteers and fosterers and your support— we can give.
Your ongoing support also helps the SPCA Tauranga centre ensure we are doing our best to prevent cruelty to animals, alleviate suffering of animals and promoting our policies through education and advocacy, and also prosecutingwhere necessary. SPCAs are approved organisations under the Animal Welfare Act 1999 which legally gives us the rights to enforce the law in this area, accept animals into our care, re-home the animals suitably and humanely alleviate pain and sufferingwhere absolutely necessary. We couldn’t do any of this without your help which I can proudly say there is no shortage of, and we are more than humbled.
We have had an amazing amount of support with adoptions over the past months, seeing our animals go to loving forever homes, ones that they deserve and long for. We know that all these precious animals need is someone to give them a chance. With them comes a huge amount of love to give back to that special person or family that gives them that chance which I think any adoptee can vouch for. We thank you for coming to us first to find your new family friend— you couldn’t find more deserving animals.
To all of you who graciously donate to the SPCA, whether it is food, litter, bedding, newspaper , donations of a monetary nature, donations of precious time, be it volunteering at the shelter, opening your home to fostering, collecting— the list is endless. Thank you, animal angels.
