IF you’ve ever stared out to Matakana Is­land in won­der, now is your chance to ex­plore our neigh­bour­ing is­land.

WaipunaHospice are hav­ing 12km re­mem­brance walk to ex­plore the is­land and learn more about it.

The guided tour in­cludes a chat about its his­tory, is­land cul­ture and cus­toms.

The walk in­cludes stun­ning views and var­ied ter­rain such as farm­land, hills, road and es­tu­ary. The walk­will take place from Matakana Is­land wharf to Te Ahipuhipuhi and over the hills. All pro­ceeds will go to Waipuna Hospice.
