Road­show pro­motes di­a­betes aware­ness

Next week is World Di­a­betes Week and a team is head­ing out into the com­mu­nity to talk about di­a­betes. The week comes with the theme “di­a­betes con­cerns ev­ery fam­ily”. The Di­a­betes Help Tau­ranga Road­show is sup­ported by lo­cal health­care pro­fes­sion­als, Li­ons and Lionesses and Toi Ohomai stu­dents who will visit lo­cal shop­ping cen­tres and Tau­ranga Hos­pi­tal. They will be able to dis­cuss the ef­fects of di­a­betes on fam­i­lies, both type one and type two. The road­show will be at Bon­gards Phar­macy Greer­ton on Novem­ber 12, Pa­pamoa Plaza on Novem­ber 13, Bay­fair on Novem­ber 14, Tau­ranga Hos­pi­tal and Fraser Cove on Novem­ber 15.
