Robb Henry – Robb's been a Coast­guard Wai­heke vol­un­teer for 24 years. He's a Res­cue Ves­sel Se­nior Mas­ter, a Re­gional In­struc­tor and holds an ISC for the re­gion's train­ing ves­sels.

Ni­cola Hock­ley – joined Coast­guard Can­ter­bury in 2009, and has been in­volved in nearly ev­ery area of the or­gan­i­sa­tion. She is a Mas­ter on her CRV with an ISC Mas­ter Cer­tifi­cate. She's a Re­gional Coast­guard In­struc­tor. Coast­guard Unit of the Year – Coast­guard Nel­son Solid train­ing, re­cruit­ment, re­ten­tion and fi­nan­cial best prac­tice have seen the unit flour­ish. Its new man­age­ment struc­ture has turned around an av­er­age fi­nan­cial bal­ance and a dwin­dling mem­ber­ship, which was down to five or six key vol­un­teers. To­day the unit has quadru­pled its fi­nan­cial bot­tom line and boasts over 20 ded­i­cated vol­un­teers. Coast­guard Com­mu­nity Re­la­tions Ac­tiv­ity of the Year – Coast­guard Nel­son – Tas­man Bay Snap­per Clas­sic and the Boul­der Bank Walk The Tas­man Bay Snap­per Clas­sic and the Boul­der Bank Walk are two com­mu­nity events with which Coast­guard Nel­son were heav­ily in­volved. Both events raised Coast­guard Nel­son's pro­file within the com­mu­nity, pro­moted key wa­ter safety mes­sages, in­creased mem­ber­ship, and raised $12,000 in vi­tal funds. Coast­guard Unit Sup­port Vol­un­teer of the Year – Mathew Hickey – Coast­guard Taranaki Mathew has has 415 vol­un­teer hours un­der his belt so far this year. Mathew was tasked with the ma­jor project of in­te­grat­ing the unit into the MOSS regime.

Coast­guard Com­mu­ni­ca­tion and In­ci­dent Man­age­ment Vol­un­teer of Year – Nick Sears – Coast­guard Can­ter­bury Nick has ded­i­cated 14 years to Coast­guard Can­ter­bury. He is a Coast­guard In­struc­tor pro­vid­ing train­ing, men­tor­ing and coach­ing to vol­un­teers and is a Duty Of­fi­cer for the re­gion's ra­dio com­mu­ni­ca­tions.
