THE NEW Absolute 50 FLY was awarded ‘European Powerboat of the Year 2017’ at the Dusseldorf Boat Show in January.

Judges praised the 15.2m vessel for its quality, large volume, décor, layout and spaciousness, along with impressive performance and economy from Volvo Penta’s IPS drives (IPS600).

The engine room is huge and the master suite amidships over the longitudinal centre of buoyancy spans the yacht’s entire beam.

The living area, separated from the aft galley by an electric sliding glass panel, offers excellent sightlines. The flybridge area has a second helm, various seating options, a dining table, and a sunbathing area with three single reclining backrests. The flybridge wet bar includes a sink, BBQ grill, ice-maker and fridge.

Onboard space is excellent, in the saloon, the three spacious cabins and the ensuite bathrooms. A door from the internal helm provides quick and easy access to the bow and there’s an up-down boarding platform (with an optional Bbq/sink area), plus a roomy crew/guest cabin.

With all these features the Absolute 50 FLY offers a great alternative to the Kiwi bach, one with distinctive Italian flair.

Sail-away price: NZ $1,409,650
