Vetus’ new retractable thruster is designed to make the docking experience easier, faster and more enjoyable. Compact, lightweight and corrosion resistant, the new thruster can be placed right in the bow, creating optimum leverage and generating more power. Because the thruster is not connected directly to the hull, there is less noise and vibration. Safe and childproof, the thruster’s robust, compact design makes it ideal for both power and sail boats, shallow draft vessels and any vessel where space is at a premium. Quick to deploy and retract, it can even be positioned in the stern. The thruster rotates as a single unit and the lid closes flush with the hull, shutting out light, for minimal drag and virtually no marine growth. Combined with the thruster’s less intricate design, fewer moving parts and completely corrosion-free submerged parts, there is also less maintenance. Suitable for vessels up to 20m long, all six Vetus retractable thruster models come with an optional control panel.
