Capture the moment

Photo booths remain a popular feature at receptions – the key is to tailor the booth to your wedding theme or style by providing suitable props and a whiteboard or blackboard for your guests to write on. Alternatively, a video kiosk is a fantastic way for them to record their own heartfelt message.

DIY couples may consider setting up a tripod with a digital or video camera against an attractive backdrop. Another option is to circulate a Polaroid camera and guests can write a personal note with the photo. A social media hashtag is also a valuable tool for modern nuptials – choose a tag such as ‘#KateandBensWedding’ and include this on your wedding stationery for easy online access to your guests’ snaps.

A plain photobooth not your style? How about using an interesting backdrop such as a large blackboard, flower wall, ribbons, tassles or pom poms, beautiful fabric or Mother Nature! Alternatively, set up a special space such as giant hanging frames, a teepee or kissing booth, like Melissa and Paul did on their wedding day!
