Calves dropped from ag day

Bush Telegraph - - Focus On Farming - By DRIES DE JONG

This year the Bush Ag Day will be different. We have had some changes pushed on us by MPI because of the M. bovis threat to cows/calves.

The Bush Ag Day will happen but this year we will not have calves competing due to the M. bovis threat.

M. bovis does not affect sheep. So we will hold a Lamb Day and look forward to all the Bush region’s schools participating. It will still be a great day for the kids.

We also have a change of venue this year. We will be at the old school grounds of Mangamaire School on Tutaekara Rd, just south of Pahiatua. Parking and showing of the lambs will be on the old school grounds. Parking is also available on the Mangamaire Hall car park.

The day will be Thursday, November 8, starting at 10am. Come along and see the kids enjoying showing their pet lambs.
