Visiting the Mystery Creek Fieldays in Hamilton proved to be a lucrative move for a Dannevirke sheep and beef farmer.

Bruce Williams, who farms at Te Uri, took up the offer to download an app onto his phone to go into the draw to win a Suzuki DR200 farm bike.

To his surprise, his name was drawn as the winner.

Bruce had won the two-wheeler, fourstroke farm bike, retailing at $6000, along with a safety helmet.

“This is one of the most popular farm bikes sold these days,” Stu Perry of Dannevirke Suzuki said. “Farmers are using two-wheelers when they can these days. This is a great all-rounder farm bike.”

And Bruce reckoned he’d collected a very good prize.

“In the summer it will be great,” he said. “But the dogs will get a bit sick of it going faster than them.”

Te Uri sheep and beef farmer Bruce Williams, left, with Dannevirke Suzuki’s Stu Perry, and the Suzuki DR200 farm bike Mr Williams won at the Mystery Creek Field Days in Hamilton.
