It’s prob­a­bly safer for them but scary for cars com­ing out of drive­ways - chil­dren will need ed­u­cat­ing about check­ing for cars on the foot­path as well as the road, when they cross streets.

The num­ber of times I have been nearly hit by in­ter­me­di­ate and col­lege kids zoom­ing down the foot­path in town, I have stopped count­ing. There is enough traf­fic on the foot­paths with pedes­tri­ans and elec­tric scoot­ers now in town. Maybe a good idea where it’s not so busy, but def­i­nitely not in main

Young kids and par­ents yes def­i­nitely but oth­ers, no.
