Meet­ing: The Cam­bridge Prostate Can­cer Sup­port Group is meet­ing at Onyx Cafe and Bar from 7pm with guest speaker Mike Rodger, a for­mer NZ rower and now coach. New mem­bers are wel­come. Sem­i­nar: The Ex­cep­tional Cus­tomer Ser­vice sem­i­nar af­ter five held by the NZ Cham­ber of Com­merce will be on from 5.30pm - 7pm. Book­ing are es­sen­tial by cam­bridgecham­ber.co.nz.

From 7pm on Fri­day night there will be a wine and cheese evening. On Satur­day at 11am a thanks­giv­ing ser­vice will be held at the school. Lunch will fol­low at 12pm. Af­ter lunch, there will be speeches, tree plant­ing, pho­tos and cut­ting of the cake with af­ter­noon tea. Tick­ets are $20 from Pa­per Plus Cam­bridge or eventfinda.co.nz. Com­pe­ti­tion: The Be The Book photography com­pe­ti­tion for the Cam­bridge Au­tumn Fes­ti­val is on. Match your face or body with a book’s cover, take a pic­ture, and send it to waipal­i­braries@waipadc.govt.nz along with con­tact de­tails and age cat­e­gory. The com­pe­ti­tion is open to all Waipa residents, a book from a Waipa li­brary must be used, and no pho­to­shop is al­lowed. The com­pe­ti­tion ends April 7.
