Olympic Athlete Nikki Hamblin presenting a Cambridge Drug Free Sport seminar at St Peter’s School on Friday.

The seminar, presented by Drug Free Sport NZ to launch the Good Clean Sport – Youth programme, will be presented to the school’s first sports teams and elite athlete classes.

Olympic runner Nikki Hamblin will be attending the seminar to show her support of the cause.

‘‘Education and support allows us to stay true to our values so we can go to the start line or the playing field knowing we did it the right way.

‘‘It also protects the integrity of our sports that are a significant part of our lives,’’ she said.

St Peter’s Director of Sport Nic Slade said secondary school sport is becoming increasingly more competitive with the pressures on students and teams to win.

‘‘We believe this is very important information and delivers the tools to help our students make the right decisions.

We want our students to be well informed and understand the importance of competing clean and we want to help promote the values of clean sport,’’ he said.
