She started her wear­able art ca­reer at a Fiel­d­ays con­test years ago, but then she went to see WOW in 2012 with her sis­ter and sis­ter-in-law.

‘‘They said I should de­sign a dress for it.

‘‘So all three of us en­tered, and we all got some­thing in to the fi­nals,’’ Vanin said. Since then, she’s been hooked. ‘‘The best time to work on it is when the kids are in bed, so there are a lot of late nights.’’
