St Peter’s Cambridge 1st XI played Reid & Harrison Hinuera A, in the first day of a two-day match in the Waikato Valley Cricket Champions Trophy competition.

The match was played at St Peter’s in Cambridge on Saturday.

Batting first, St Peter’s progress was slow and a 72 run, 3rd wicket partnership helped them post a respectable first innings total of 190 scored at a rate of 3.01 runs per over.

All the Hinuera bowlers did their job well with Jason Rusk the stand out taking four wickets.

With 152 minutes of playing time remaining in the day when Hinuera started their innings the goal was to achieve a first innings lead by the end of the days play.
