Soroptimists put to the test

Central Leader - - News -

Auckland Soroptimists are using their brains for a good cause this month.

The women’s group is holding a quiz afternoon to raise funds for Alzheimers Auckland – its charity of choice this year.

Soroptimists president Penny King says Alzheimers Auckland is an appropriate charity to support because some members of the group have had friends and families affected by dementia in the past.

General manager of Alzheimers Auckland Sue Brewster says with only half of the group’s funding coming from district health boards support from Soroptimists of Auckland is invaluable.

The quiz is being held at St David’s in the Field Church, 202 Hillsborough Rd, Hillsborough, on Saturday, June 14, from 2pm.
