The Gentle Chiropractor

Central Leader - - NEWS -

When people meet Dr James Allen they often say, ‘I know you. I’ve seen your story in the newspaper. You’re the guy who used to be a vet and now you’re a chiropractor. I’ve seen your photo with your two boys.’

“The idea of our newspaper articles was to help people feel comfortable when they come and see us,” explains Dr Allen. “When someone’s looking after your health it’s nice when you feel comfortable with them. Those articles served their purpose. Now we would like to take it a step further.”

“We changed the name of our practice to ‘The Gentle Chiropractor Co Ltd’,” says Dr Allen. “We did that because we want people to feel comfortable with what we do. We want them to know that we can provide effective chiropractic care with adjustments that are gentle. We do this by being very accurate and very specific.”

“We use the latest technology,” explains Dr Allen. “Tools like computerised postural assessment, thermography, electromyography and x-rays allow us to detect the key problems. When someone is working on your spine and nervous system you want them to know exactly what’s going on. We like to show you what we’re working on so you can feel confident that you’re in good hands.”

“Our new name also reflects the experience we are striving to create,” emphasises Dr Allen. “We want it to be easy and comfortable for our patients. We have landscaped grounds, plenty of parking and an office built from quality materials. We play great music, have current magazines and a lending library. We use a Courtesy System and a Welcome Book to make our communications more pleasant and effective. We believe that the quality of the little things reflects the quality of our care.”

Now perhaps you’re wondering, ‘What do chiropractors do? What do they treat?’ “Well, as a chiropractor,” explains Dr Allen, “we improve the alignment of your body. We improve flexibility. We reduce tension in the muscles around your spine. We reduce the stress on your nervous system. When we do this it is surprising how much better people feel and how many problems resolve.”

“With gentle adjustments we help people with all sorts of problems,” comments Dr Allen. “From back, neck and leg pain to headaches and feet problems. From shoulder, hip and knee pain to asthma and sinus problems. We help people with digestive problems, fatigue problems, sleep problems and stress related problems. The key is to get the body working properly by getting the spine and nervous system working well.”
