Senior secondary and tertiary level students can apply for a threeyear scholarship from Bayer New Zealand and the Royal Society of New Zealand.

The BayerBoost environmental scholarship scheme provides financial help to students to undertake environmental research projects during their summer break.

Six scholarships of between $3000 and $6000 were awarded in 2007 and Bayer New Zealand is now calling for students to apply for research support during the 2008 to 2009 summer break.

As well as funding, scholarship winners will receive guidance from a host organisation to carry out their environmental study.

To be eligible, students must be under the age of 24, enrolled in a New Zealand senior secondary school or undergraduate tertiary programme and studying environmental sciences or related areas.
