Su­perette is robbed

Po­lice are look­ing for a thief who bran­dished scis­sors while rob­bing a Mt Al­bert dairy last month.

The of­fender en­tered the Asquith Su­perette on Asquith Ave at 12.40pm on May 6 and ap­proached the lone shop­keeper.

He pulled out a pair of scis­sors and threat­ened the vic­tim, de­mand­ing money from the till.

The shop­keeper opened the till drawer and the of­fender re­moved cash be­fore leav­ing the shop.

He was last seen run­ning to­wards Wairere Ave.

The of­fender is de­scribed as a male Pakeha or light-skinned Maori or Poly­ne­sian, 18 to 25 years old, about 1.87 me­tres tall with a slim build.

He has brown hair, clean shaven, wear­ing a black t-shirt, beige trousers, white sneak­ers and a New York Yan­kees base­ball cap with the NY logo.
