Mt Albert juggernaut rolls on
It seems no one can stop Mt Albert in the Fox preliminary league series.
Yet again the side dished out a hiding to their opponents, with the East Coast Bays on the receiving end of a 44-6 loss on Saturday.
And Richmond kept their slim hopes of a finals spot alive after defeating Bay Roskill 30-20. They need Papakura or Howick, who are ahead of them on the table, to drop a match in the coming weeks if they’re going to have a hope of sneaking into the top eight.
In other action Ponsonby continued some promising recent form with a 25-8 victory over Mangere East, while Marist drew 18-18 with Howick.
This Saturday Mt Albert visit Ellerslie at the Ellerslie Domain, Richmond face Otahuhu at Grey Lynn Park, Bay Roskill lock horns with Te Atatu at Jack Colvin Park, Marist play Manurewa at Murray Halberg Park and Ponsonby host Howick at Victoria Park.
