Whether you have an in­cred­i­ble singing tal­ent or just en­joy lis­ten­ing to In­dian songs, the new Kaun Banega Su­per­star is for you.

The lo­cally-made show is a first for New Zealand and will fea­ture ea­ger con­tes­tants singing in Hindi com­pet­ing for fan­tas­tic prizes.

It will be screened on Tri­an­gle TV, Tri­an­gle Stratos, or Free­view, and Sky Dig­i­tal Chan­nel 89.

Mu­sic will mix Bol­ly­wood and tra­di­tional In­dian styles and the par­tic­i­pants’ singing skills will be as­sessed by a jury.

Once semi­fi­nals be­gin, view­ers will be able to vote for their favourite.

Af­ter the suc­cess of Amer­i­can Idol and Don’t For­get The Lyr- ics, Dreamz Pro­duc­tions says the show will at­tract a wide au­di­ence and bring peo­ple of all ages and back­grounds to­gether as one.

“When a com­mu­nity sees that some of their own can make it, they rally around them and give sup­port.”
