Robin Hood Foundation
The Robin Hood Foundation brings businesses and projects together.
Two new projects involve support for DineAid, a concept that will see restaurants asking diners to add $2 to their bills around Christmas, with the money distributed to various groups, and Second Harvest, a project involving food manufacturers producing more items for foodbanks.
The Fairfax Media award for youth participation went to the Vodafone Foundation’s World of Difference, the award for enabling others went to AMP Financial Services’ scholarship programme, the partnership strength over time award went to Westpac’s rescue helicopter, the More FM health partnership to the National Bank and Cancer Society’s Daffodil Day, and the Royal NZ Air Force’s partnership with Child, Youth and Family won an innovative solutions award.
The Vodafone Foundation was also named The Prime Minister’s Social Hero.
