School in bid to build sports turf
Diocesan School for Girls is seeking resource consent to build a multipurpose sports turf.
The floodlit turf would be located at 44 Margot St in Epsom above a semi-basement carpark for 212 vehicles.
The facility would be designed for hockey and will also accommodate tennis and netball courts.
The proposal relates to the north-western part of the school campus, which has frontages on Margot and Clyde streets.
It requires resource consent because it is an educational facility, the construction of the building would front a residential street and it infringes on location, maximum height and boundary requirements.
The school is also seeking consent for infringements on noise controls and activity controls because the facilities will be of community benefit.
Submissions must be in by August 29. Go to www.aucklandcity.govt. nz.
