A shoe auc­tion has raised more than $5000 for the YMCA’s fu­ture leaders pro­gramme.

Women at the event bid on 10 pairs of Kathryn Wil­son shoes, do­nated by the de­signer.

The main prize, a ses­sion de­sign­ing a per­son­alised shoe with Kathryn Wil­son, sold for $2200.

YWCA mar­ket­ing man­ager Nikki Draper says the night was “just fan­tas­tic” with more than 100 peo­ple at­tend­ing.

The YWCA’s Fu­ture Leaders pro­gramme sees young women in their teens paired with a suc­cess­ful woman men­tors who guide and en­cour­age them over a five-year pe­riod..
