Jollies for free

Central Leader - - Letters -

Regarding $ 35,000 boob battle (Central Leader, August 22). It was a great way to spend money.

The council is functioning in its correct role in showing leadership of the community.

How any commercial operation can take over a city’s main street for advertising its profit-making enterprise is beyond me. How they can do it while promoting the degradation of one gender and entrenching misogynistic attitudes is unbelievable.

Could Steve Crow do the same thing by making money out of different races or disabilities? Just because a lot of men apparently get their jollies for free does not mean that the wider implications for a fair and non violent society can be ignored. JOHN SUBRITZKY
