Distance learning accounts course
Learning Post Ltd, who specialise in distance learning with a focus on business administration and computing skills, has recently launched a highly anticipated new accounts course tailored to the growing numbers of self-employed business owners and those needing to return to work for financial reasons.
The Certificate in Practical Accounting (Level 4) can be completed full-time over 32 weeks or part-time over 52 weeks and provides the skills and understanding needed for employment in an accounts clerk position or to manage the accounts side of an individual’s own business.
The course is also ideal as a stepping stone toward further studies in accounting and is completed entirely through distance learning.
Over recent years, the cost of petrol and general living expenses has contributed to a steady increase in self-employment numbers along with an increase in of primary caregivers, particularly mums, returning to paid employment. As a result, there has also been a marked increase in the demand for qualification programmes through distance learning.
Sorya Virak, Learning Post’s marketing and development manager says the combination of being able to gain practical accounting skills without having to meet the extra costs and time involved with travel makes the course ideal for those who need to juggle study with work or childcare commitments.
The Certificate in Practical Accounting is a comprehensive course that covers all aspects of accounts skills including tax preparation, trial balancing, MYOB use, employment relations and financial skills and more.
Each student has access to their own dedicated tutor who offers support, guidance and motivation throughout the period of study. Those interested in pursuing study through Learning Post are invited to visit www.learningpost.ac.nz or call toll-free on 0800 895 895.
