Television presenter Jaquie Brown is getting behind WSPA’s campaign to end cruelty to animals.

She’s promoting this year’s World Animal Week t-shirts, designed by Sweetpea for Karen Walker.

Jaquie is also supporting the Universal Declaration on Animal Welfare.

More than 26,000 New Zealanders have already added their names to the document.

“Animals are a vital part of our lives. We owe it to them to look after their health,” she says.

WSPA is the world’s largest federation of humane societies and animal protection or- ganisations. It is the organiser of World Animal Week, which takes place between October 4 and 10.

Sweetpea for Karen Walker is a collaboration between the fashion designer and Sweetpea Home designer Louise Cuckow.

Louise says she was thrilled to be asked to create something for WSPA.

“I will definitely be adding my name to the Universal Declaration on Animal Welare.”

The t-shirts will be sold through Body Shop stores from September 30 for $40, with $20 from every sale going towards the society.
