A play for approval

The cast of the Dolphin Theatre’s production of A Chorus of Disapproval may be feeling a touch of deja vu.

Three members of the 13-strong cast performed in the same play at the Dolphin 15 years ago.

Welshman Rob Pennington plays the role of Welsh director Dafydd, and appeared in a different role in the Dolphin’s previous production.

Cynthia Cahill is also directing the show for the second time, while Kevin Murray is reprising his role as Jarvis.

The play by Sir Alan Ayckbourn is likely to strike a familiar note with newcomers too.

It follows the rehearsals of an amateur operatic society preparing for a show.

A Chorus of Disapproval runs at the Dolphin Theatre, Spring St, Onehunga, from November 8 to 29. For tickets, phone 636-7322.
