Sem­i­nars free and green

Learn how to live a “green” life at a free com­mu­nity event at Auck­land Uni­ver­sity this month.

Ex­perts will talk about ways of be­ing more en­vi­ron­men­tally aware, from buy­ing and in­vest­ing to ren­o­vat­ing and trav­el­ling.

Dr Niki Harre, au­thor of Car­bon Neu­tral by 2020, will give an open­ing ad­dress on Sus­tain­abil­ity: A psy­cho­log­i­cal chal­lenge.

Other speak­ers are the uni­ver­sity’s en­vi­ron­men­tal co-or­di­na­tor Les­ley Stone, Malcolm Rands from the Eco­s­tore and Rachel Brown from the Sus­tain­able Busi­ness Net­work.

Sem­i­nars top­ics in­clude eat­ing green, hav­ing a green fu­neral, and be­ing green par­ents.

The Go­ing Green event is or­gan­ised by the Cen­tre for Con­tin­u­ing Ed­u­ca­tion.
