A 24-hour bridge marathon has raised more than $4540 for Alzheimers Auckland.
The marathon was organised by the Royle Epsom Bridge Club and began at 6pm on October 17.
Throughout the 24hour period, there were eight bridge sessions, each session of almost three hours duration.
One hundred and forty-one players participated and for $20 they could play as many or as few sessions as they wished.
Alzheimers Auckland was chosen as the charity because many people learn to play the game of bridge to keep their mind active.
